Before Gourville, we happened into this vineyard and sampled cognacs. The pineau was new to us and so delicious, fruity, a bit sweet, strong like cognac, served very cold, an aperitif to them but more like dessert to me. Then we learned from owner Guy Bonnaud that he will be at Saturday reunion to pour his cognac and pineau for all of us to sample.
Notice how old some barrels are and how happy and proud Guy is in the photo.
Views driving from Bordeaux to Gourville also included vineyards everywhere and some corn, wheat, hay, old stone homes and buildings, and flower and vegetable gardens.
So many collections, so little time! Along the way I have collected one husband, two daughters, one son-in-law, two granddaughters, additional family and friends, and countless memories. Pack in collections of journals, recipes, art, photos, books, dishes, plants, travel files, projects, clothing, antiques, roadrunners, Santa tubing ornaments, etc. Collecting love and joy always!
