20180720 Entering Germany (6 photos)
We leave the ship, walk a short distance, and board a train to Berlin where we will transfer to a bus for our tour. The couple sitting across from us manage a nap. The city photos are mainly from the center; the tower with "disco ball" is for television. The bear is Berlin's animal symbol.

20180719 Dinner Time (6 photos)
Here is the view of Copenhagen harbor as we get ready for a light dinner since we had so much to eat on the Food Lovers Tour. I found seared foie gras, Jim focused on beef and veggies, and I had another foie gras, boiled shrimp, and soup. We explore a couple of areas on deck 7 as we head for our stateroom.
20180719 Market Food (6 photos)
A highlight is the smorrebrod topped with a huge fillet of white fish fried perfectly, and laced with a sauce, capers, lemon, and dill sprig. Sitting outside at a picnic table only enhanced the experience of being a local Dane.
While eating our gelato samples, if you can call two scoops of buttermilk base with lemon zest in a cone a sample, the nearby Mexican booth threw a load of peppers on their grill and almost knocked us out, gasp, gasp. Such is the risk of so much happening in this confined area. Next are tea and chocolate samples.

20180719 Going to Food Market (6 photos)
Beginning the Food Lovers Tour, we journey by bus and pass landmarks. At the market with our local tour guide, we visit a variety of booths/stalls on her prearranged list, and each has samples for us to taste.
20180719 Brunch with Hanne and Morten (7 photos)
We order a simple but satisfying brunch.
Danes love being outside in the summer. Morten indulges my passion for Georg Jensen jewelry and gives me directions and address, then asks for Jim's forgiveness. After lunch they identify points of interest as we walk to catch a taxi. The driver takes our photo, and I promise to post it on Facebook within the hour. Hanne and Morten walk back to their work, pleased that their Fitbits will record each step.

20180719 Meeting for Brunch (6 photos)
Our plan for meeting Jim's cousin Hanne and her husband Morten includes leaving our tour group at the Amalienborg Castle, and here we are. Across the water is the new Copenhagen Opera House, and on our side a pair of historical markers.
We meet them at the place suggested for lunch but it is closed for holiday. After introductions and hugs, we walk a couple of blocks to another outdoor place and have a good Danish brunch. Visiting is easy because their English is excellent, even though they rarely speak it.
