Finally we get an opportunity to stop for a quick Polish beer so we split one. Later our guide tells us we have time for a snack so we have more beer with goulash for Jim and potato slices for me. Recipe looked like chopped potatoes mixed with cooked bacon, onion, and seasonings; pressed into a loaf pan; sliced; fried in butter or oil until light brown; served with sour cream and salad. Tasty but could eat only half!
