20180725 St. P. Day Tour 7 (6 photos)

The statue of Peter the Great is a popular monument for touching and photos, and the fence prevents climbing and other closer encounters. The Guardhouse behind now contains offices for the Museum of the History of St. Petersburg. Security stands nearby on alert.

Across the path the burial vault houses less important Romanov family members and is connected to the cathedral.
