Another sign tells more story, and the panoramic photo shows the whole fortress. The third photo shows how much larger the fjord was in Viking days covering all the green up to the fence, which made the settlement an ideal location. Our tour guide has brought bottles of mead to pour in little cups so we can toast the Vikings.
